Contributing to the Community

LifeLine paramedics, EMTs and office staff live and work among those they serve professionally. The continual improvement of our community depends on the spirit of volunteerism of local residents, and LifeLine staff proudly donates valuable time and resources to aid local organizations. In addition, our company fulfills a heartfelt commitment to contribute financially and in-kind to various local charities. Crisis prevention and basic emergency care are key elements in creating a safer community. Our school safety and first aid programs educate youth with first-hand knowledge and real-life stories from LifeLine paramedics and EMTs. Demonstrations illustrate the importance of safety while involving young audiences at schools and in youth groups. As a guide for those interested in a medical services career, LifeLine provides demonstrations for Career Days at elementary and high schools. Our staff also provides paramedic and EMT training for students in Ventura College's School of Prehospital and Emergency Medicine. To promote health and safety training, LifeLine offers outreach programs to local businesses and CPR classes for the community. To ensure broad community safety at major (and minor) events, LifeLine provides paramedic-staffed ambulances as stand-bys for occasions such as high school football games and music festivals. In addition, LifeLine extends financial support to numerous community organizations, including:

Rotary Club, Nordhoff High School Athletics, Nordhoff Music Department, Conejo Valley Arabian Horse Breeders Association, 4-H Livestock Auction, Ojai Tennis Tournament, Ojai Community Hospital Foundation, Community Memorial Hospital Foundation, Ventura County Medical Foundation, Cars for Causes and the American Heart Association "Run for Life"

Disaster Preparedness

To prepare for disaster situations including acts of terrorism, LifeLine works closely with the Ventura County Emergency Medical Services Agency (EMS) to conduct disaster drills and exercises. Through training and simulations working with the EMS Agency, LifeLine ensures our paramedics and EMTs are up on the latest procedures, protocols and programs to manage crises effectively and efficiently.

Making a Difference in So Many Ways

Our job goes beyond saving lives. We provide comfort and support to the family members of patients, assist medical teams in logistics, and help ease the impact of sensitive situations. We do not see our patients as statistics, but as our neighbors and our friends.

"It's a great place to work. I value every day that I can learn more to provide better my care for patients."
